Mintec proposes to launch monthly NFC Orange juice Mintec Benchmark Prices

Mintec is proposing to launch monthly Mintec Benchmark Prices (MBP) for European ‘not from concentrate’ (NFC) orange juice of Brazilian origin, and is collecting feedback from market participants until Wednesday, 15th May 2024.

If the industry supports this proposal, Mintec suggests launching the monthly assessment on Friday, 31st May 2024.

The proposed specifications for the assessment would be as below:

The proposed assessment would reflect the transactable value at 16:00:00 London time.

NFC orange juices are widely consumed products which make up a substantial proportion of trade in the global juice markets. The proposed assessment would give Mintec subscribers a reliable and independent benchmark for NFC orange juice in the European markets. In addition, the proposed assessment would complement Mintec’s existing juice coverage allowing subscribers to compare prices between NFC and concentrate orange juices.
